I switched to deodorant this year from antiperspirant and I had tried La Vanilla last year and it did not work for me. If baking soda doesn't bother him there are so many brands out there. I personally use Primal Pit Paste but there is also Smichdt's (probably spelled wrong), Meow Meow Tweet, etc. Also Tom's of Maine deodorant isn't bad but I feel I have to apply it more often. Their Lavender scent smells very manly as they recently changed it but I will warn you since they made that change it actually irritated my skin, but everyone is different.
I would be really interested in seeing your sun cream vid. I can recommend Weleda sage and also the citrus deodorant – Jack Black Pit Boss Antiperspirant & Deodorant is a product i would love to try as i have heard so many recommendations.
Jack black makes an aluminum free deodorant. Just make sure you get the aluminum free one since they make two. Also many higher end mens cologne brands have matching aluminum free deodorants(Armani is my favorite).

Um, just saying. Oldspice high endurance, the gel formula deodorant, Is aluminum free. No need to buy the expensive deodorant.
